Dum ki murgh curry


Ingredients
  • Chicken 1 kg 12 pieces
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp heaped
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp heaped
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp heaped
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Allspice ½ tsp
  • Yogurt 1 ½ cup
  • Onion brown and grinded 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 ½ tsp
  • Sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • Poppy seeds 1 ½ tsp
  • Desiccated coconut 1 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts 12
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
  • Mint leaves 10 to 12 chopped
Method
  • Grind together sesame seeds, poppy seeds, desiccated coconut and cashew nuts, marinate chicken with Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp, Chili powder 2 tsp heaped, Coriander powder 1 tsp heaped, Cumin powder 1 tsp heaped, Turmeric ¼ tsp, Allspice ½ tsp, Yogurt 1 ½ cup, Onion brown and grinded 2 tbsp, Salt 1 ½ tsp, heat oil add marinated chicken, cover and cook for 15 minutes till half done, then add chopped coriander and mint and leave to cook for another 15 minutes till oil floats on top. Serve with boiled rice.
