Lahori dahi bhaly


Ingredients
  • Phulki 2 cups soaked for 2 hours
  • Yogurt 1 kg
  • Boiled chickpeas 1 cup
  • Potato peeled cubed and boiled 1 cup
  • Cabbage thinly sliced 1 cup
  • Onion thinly sliced 1
  • Tomato 2 sliced
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • Crushed red chilies 1 ½ tsp
  • Green chilies 3 to 4 chopped
  • Coriander leaves chopped 1tbsp
Ingredients for green chutney
  • Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Green chilies 4
  • Garlic 1 tsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Yogurt 4 tbsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
Method for chutney
  • Blend the coriander leaves, green chilies, garlic , cumin yogurt and salt.
Method for dahi phulki
1st serving suggestion
  • Put 4 tbsp chilled whipped yogurt in a bowl add 4 to 5 soaked phulki, top with 2 tbsp boiled chickpeas, 1 tbsp boiled potatoes, sprinkle chat masala, crushed red pepper, sliced onions ,sliced tomatoes, cabbage ,1 tbsp, coriander leaves, and green chilies .Top with 5-6 tbsp yogurt mixed with the chutney. Sprinkle chat masala and crushed red pepper.
2nd serving suggestion 
  • In a bowl add the whipped yogurt, sprinkle the chat masala, crushed red pepper and salt.Add the chickpeas, potatoes, phulki, sliced onions, tomatoes cabbage.Mix well and serve.
Meethi chatni
  • Take 125 grams of dried apricots; soak it in 1 cup of water. As it swells divide it in two and remove the seeds.Now put it the sauce pan and cook it in the same water for 10 minutes.
  • Then add 1 small piece of gur i.e 2 tbsp of gur or 2 ounces of gur and 2 tbsp of sugar, cook it till the bubbles come and it thickens.Turn off the stove. Cool it and blend. Put it in a bowl add just a pinch of red color and 1 tsp heaped chaat masala and ¼ tsp salt.
Khatti meethi chatni
  • Take 125 grams of tamairnd and soak it in 1 cup water for 2 hours.Take the pulp out of it, put it in blender. Add ½ tsp salt, 1- 1 ½ tsp chat masala, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp roasted and crushed cumin and blend well. And add 4 tbsp of meethi chatni and it will become khatti meethi chatni.
