Chany daal gosht


Ingredients
  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Gram lentil 250 gm soaked for 1 hour
  • Onion 2 sliced
  • Tomatoes 3
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1 ½ tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp heaped
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Cumin roasted and crushed 1 tsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Allspice 1 tsp
  • Mint leaves ½ bunch
Ingredients for baghar
  • Ghee ½ cup
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Red chili whole 6
  • Brown onion 2 tbsp
Method
  • Heat oil fry onion golden add ginger garlic paste, tomatoes and mutton with salt, chili powder, cumin, coriander powder, turmeric and fry well till tomatoes soft and oil comes on top, add chana ki daal, fry for 5 minutes add about 3 cups water, cook till mutton and daal tender, slightly mash daal add allspice, lastly give baghar, serve sprinkled with mint leaves and brown onion.
